Another balmy evening was enjoyed at The Commons for CHCH SOUP Summer 2016, where more than $600 was raised for the pot. We heard pitches for an inner-city composting service, a social enterprise supporting quality photography services for non-profits, an adventurous battle sport and a project documenting the merging schools in Aranui giving them a ‘photo voice’.
Of course we also heard back from CHCH SOUP Spring 2015’s winner, Brindi Joy, and the success she’s enjoyed in producing her film (soon to be premiered at The Commons!), The Road Home, thanks to the seed funding she’d received from the pot!
It was Michelle McConnell’s Aranui Photo Voice that won everyone’s hearts and we’re really excited to see how this project will go!
Thanks again to our super volunteers, our project partners Ministry of Awesome and the lovely chefs Alisha McGilligan and Alex Davies. Special shout out must go to Isaac Spedding for sharing his seriously awesome cold brew coffee – Tui Cold Brew
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for our fourth seasonal celebration of all things awesome in our city, CHCH SOUP Autumn 2016!
