The Gap Filler Fun Fair took place Saturday April 9, 2011 at St Mary’s Church Square in Addington
Our fun fair aimed to bring people together and raise some money for both The New Zealand Red Cross and Gap Filler, to help us hold future events. It was a great day, featuring a whole range of stuff like craft and bake stalls, carnival games, seedlings, books, a bouncy castle, sausage sizzle, Devonshire teas, races (egg and spoon, 3-legged and pancake race!) as well as a concert organised by the Addington Action Committee featuring The Eastern, The Haze, Le Petite Manouche and A Capellago World Music Choir.
A day of fun, games and community.
We raised around $3100 thanks to all the contributions from stallholders. We donated half that money to NZ Red Cross, and gave $250 from our share to St Mary’s Church as a thank you for hosting such a great event.
