On 18 July 2015 chef Alex Davies cooked up truffled jacket potatoes in the Commons Pizza Oven, matched with cold coffee – a nd called it “a Truffle dish for the Commons people”.  This formed part of events for New Zealand’s first Canterbury Truffle Festival.

At only $10 to try one of dining’s most prestigious ingredients, stuffed into a buttered baked potato, it’s no wonder Alex had sold out by 1.30pm!
